GlucoBase PDA
is a powerful, yet simple tool for recording daily blood glucose readings.
Entering Readings
One of the
main goals in the design of GlucoBase PDA was to make entering readings as easy
as possible. YOU DO NOT NEED
THE STYLUS to make a simple reading entry.
Just follow
these steps:
- Tap the
button (you can do this with your finger) to start
a new entry. If you like,
you can do this before you begin taking your sample.
- Take your
reading. Now comes the neat
part.
- Enter your
reading using the buttons on your PDA.
The leftmost button selects the reading type, the next enters 100
for each time it is pressed, the next adds 10's, and the rightmost
adds ones.

A
number of useful statistics are
displayed in the lower portion of the screen.
Prominent in the center of this area is the daily high-low graph.
There is a bar on the graph for each of the previous 28 days.
Each bar shows the range of readings for that day.
That is, the top of the bar represents the highest reading for the
day, and the bottom of the bar is the lowest.
Across the graph are two dotted lines.
These lines describe the target range prescribed by your doctor.
The number of readings in each range (high, target, low) is shown
along the left hand side of the screen.
